Christmas poem and artwork

He was and is God in glory and majesty
and yet willing to be born as a poor, vulnerable child in an earthly stable
He was and is the Creator and King of heaven and earth
and yet prepared to be a refugee and asylum seeker in His first year of life here
He was used to living in the Light and in supreme glory
and yet ready to come into our darkness
He was and is the Exalted, Who deserves all honor and praise
and yet willing to be rejected and forsaken - even by His friends
He experienced the greatest glory as a Darling Child with His Heavenly Father
and yet was prepared to take on an unthinkably horrible suffering
He came, mercifully, to stand besides us,
He died in our place and He overcame death
That is how He was willing to share His Life and Glory with us

. . . Would we not thank and praise Him with all our strength for so much Love . . . ?

Isn’t it wonderful and great that Jesus
came down to us? And how He came...
About that Love we just marvel and stand in awe,
again and again...

No wonder, that the angels were singing
about great joy that would be there
for us to freely partake in...

God bless you, this Christmas and throughout the new year !
